Normally, we need to use Adobe Illustrator (AI) to do design work, but we can't always afford to pay for the license fees of AI.

Due to some work in the company, recently, I have discovered a great feature in the open source vector drawing program - Inkscape: its excellent capability in tracing bitmap to vector graphics (PNG -> SVG). Actually, I knew the feature was there, I just didn't realize it worked in such a flawless & high-quality manner.

GIMP 2.4 穩定版系列，已於去年年末推出。

而有關新版的 GIMP 說明文件 GIMP Help，也完成了對 GIMP 2.4.0 系列的說明文件更新，成為 GIMP Help 2 穩定版。

現在，GIMP 2.4.4 和 GIMP Help 2 的 Windows 版官方安裝套件，都已提供下載：

相信已有不少 Linux 及 Windows 用家都聽過 GIMP 這個相片和圖像編輯程式，與及它能否媲美 Photoshop 有所疑問。而每當談到這個題目，許多專業 Photoshop 用戶便會群起發表他們的專業意見，說許多工作只有 P 程式才能辦到云云．．．然而，鮮有認真用心咁去比較兩者功能的文章。
