剛剛上網瀏覽一會，才發現 2008 年才開始第一届 Document Freedom Day。今年若成事，便是第二届了。

既然有熱心社群朋友提到 DFD，而之前我亦有跟進一些 OpenOffice.org 和 OpenDocument 的推廣，於是上網搜索一下 OpenDocument Format 的最新進展。然而，發現卻有點．．有趣！

1.  MS Office 2007 SP2 會 support ODF
2. Windows 7 的 WordPad 會 support ODF
3. BlackBerry 會 support ODF (因 IBM 的 Lotus Symphony Office suite 緣故)
4. 而 OpenOffice 跟 Google Docs，則有 extension 協助相向的滙入／滙出支援
5. 另外，除了 Google Docs 外，像 Zoho 等 Online Office suite 也有對 ODF 支援。而因著這些 Online service, 也有一些人寫了 Firefox Extension 來 support online 使用 Google Docs/Zoho 來閱讀 ODF。比較有代表性的是 "Open IT Online" 和 "Open In Google Docs"  

為響應國際文件自由日（Document Freedom Day）發起，OAKA 開放系統研用協會將在當晚舉行小型閒聚。
