The OSHK Incubator is an incubation program that provides services to projects seeking to partner with Open Source Hong Kong (OSHK).
It assists incoming projects and user communities in adopting the OSHK-recommended open source model, guiding them to the services available for our projects. This way, they can become projects and user communities listed on the OSHK website.
The OSHK Incubator assigns a mentor to each project.
The program primarily targets two types of incubatees:
- Projects Initiated by Project Owners Living in Hong Kong
- Local User Communities of Open Source Software
1-Year Incubation Program, During the incubation period:
- Project owners maintain autonomy over their project’s development.
- OSHK volunteers offer event and marketing support.
- Regular mentor meetings facilitate communication between incubatees and OSHK.
- After the 1-year incubation: Incubatees can choose to apply for program extension or become alumni.
- Active incubatees and alumni are featured on the OSHK website.
- All participants must adhere to the Code of Conduct.
