Membership

You can apply for regular membership by completing membership form online.

Fill form for Regular/Developer/Contribution Member Application.

Fill form for Corporate/Community Member Application.

The membership fee is not required in 2019. Membership period is 1 January to 31 December every year.

You will be added to our mailing list to receive EDM from us.

Members must agree our Code of Conduct.

Membership Levels

  3. Online Members

3 membership levels are available at Open Source Hong Kong (OSHK) as the above. 5 member types are also available at the regular member level,  Regular Member is default type of this member level.

Voting Members

Voting members are active members who contribute to Open Source Hong Kong in their primary priority. It is by invitation only.

Corporate / Community Members

  1. Membership period: Annual
  2. No finance commitment
  3. Benefit & Commitment:
    1. a 30-min session at OSHK meetings or special meeting to share an open source related topic.
    2. Logo or name display as Corporate / Community member and writeup on OSHK website about open source related topic.
    3. Must obey Code of Conduct.
  4. How to apply: Complete Corporate / Community member application form.

Developer / Contribution Members

  1. Membership period: Annual
  2. No finance commitment
  3. Benefit & Commitment:
    1. a 20- to 30-min session at OSHK meetings is provided to share an open source related topic.
    2. For contribution members: Other contributions to OSHK community will be also considered as commitments by contributing members.
    3. Name listed as developer/contribution member and writeup on OSHK website about your open source project or contribution in the valid annual membership period.
    4. Must obey Code of Conduct.
  4. How to apply & Application Requirement
    1. Developer Members: Open source developers with source code (or approved types similar to source code) contributing on GitHub or public repository will be considered as developer member.
    2. Contribution Members: Other contributions at the open source community will be also considered as contribution members.
    3. Complete Developer/Contribution member application form.

Regular Members

For members who completed annual membership form are recognized as Regular Members

Online Members

Online members are casual members which connects with OSHK on online platforms including (but not limited to) Facebook.

Code of Conduct

All members must obey Code of Conduct defined by Executive Committee (EXCO). If EXCO believes any members violate Code of Conduct, OSHK can revoke their membership.
